Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver sustainable profitable revenue and growth for the service line.  Grows client trusted advisor status.

  • Lead the Remote Sensing, Mapping, and Power Services to identify opportunities and use a consultancy mindset to turn them into high-value projects that match company focus areas and strategy.

  • Lead project execution ensuring the same level of delivery is provided according to what was negotiated while seeking opportunities to upsell company services.

  • Management and involved in extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other organizations and companies.

  • Be proficient in project management with a strong commercial mindset and negotiating skills. Continuously seek opportunities to commercialize the full value the organization brings to assignments.  Continuously identify growth opportunities for the organization.

  • Ensures clear and consistent internal communication within the group to foster an environment of inclusion and transparency. Sharing and connecting individuals to better leverage opportunity pursuit.

  • Meet the business development and marketing objectives set by the business directives.

  • Manage the proposal process including effective ‘win’ strategies.

  • Deliver the successful completion of engineering projects.

  • Direct team members or individuals assisting on projects.  Mentor performance excellence and adherence to quality standards.

  • Direct and monitor the AC’s Aged Receivables (AR) and direct collection efforts to maintain cash position and flow.

  • Manage the monthly backlog estimates including all active and prospective projects. Prepare a yearly profit plan for the region's Remote Sensing, Mapping, and Power Service Line.

  • Set utilization goals to be met by the group.

Job Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.

  • 15+ years of experience in managing and leading a Remote Sensing and Mapping, and Power/utilities service line.

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering, Geography, Geospatial Technology, GIS, or equivalent.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.

  • Experience with geospatial services, remote sensing services, mapping services, and/or power/utilities infrastructure market is required.

  • Effective client relationship management with a dedicated client base and the proven ability to produce annual revenue.

  • Proven leadership experience regarding business development and business improvement processes is required.

  • Possess a valid passport and current driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, with the ability to travel (international and domestic).

  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills including a comprehensive understanding of writing for engineering documents and related legal terminology. Ability to competently and professionally present project materials in client meetings including identifying and mitigating client concerns.

  • Able to negotiate technical, commercial, legal, ethical, and sometimes abstract concepts and communicate effectively and positively with internal and external stakeholders at operational, management, and executive decision-making levels and statutory authorities.

  • General knowledge of sales, pricing, and negotiating.

  • Ability to comprehend nuances of legal contract language and negotiate terms in the best interest of the company.
