Fugro has signed an agreement to acquire Interaction AS. Interaction specialises in the provision of marine electromagnetic data management, quality control and processing software and services. The company presently employs 8 people at its main office in Stavanger, Norway and is known by its Sharkware brand of products. Interaction will operate under existing management and will form part of Fugro's General Geophysical Services offering in the Geoscience division. In spite of the present global economic circumstances, Fugro believes the long term market for non-seismic geoscientific data for hydrocarbon exploration is attractive. Interaction will complement Fugro's existing suite of seismic and non-seismic capabilities in helping oil and gas explorers replace dwindling hydrocarbon supplies. |
