For our Nootdorp office we are looking for a Operational Purchaser - German speaking. With a new Supply Chain Management (SCM) organisation in place, Fugro is on an exciting journey to accelerate growth and value creation. You have a key role to play in this context by delivering the most competitive cost base by building a strong Purchasing organisation. You will support the Purchasing Supervisor.

Your role

  • You are responsible for, but not limited to purchasing goods and services for Fugro. Critical to success in this role is bringing the relevant professional, expert knowledge and experience in creating value for Fugro by assisting in the implementation of best in class Purchasing to help Fugro, control third party expenditure in order to reduce bottom line costs and improve cash flow. You will need a collaborative, communitive and engagement approach with the business stakeholders in Fugro;

  • You obtain quotes and negotiate best costing, delivery & quality for any goods or services. If category purchasing is in place, you work with categories as instructed;

  • You are responsible for supplier and business interaction, you send purchase orders to the suppliers and you execute on time delivery with suppliers of goods and services;

  • You contribute to departmental and global KPI’s for spend under control with a purchase order, several quotes per purchase, delivery performance and savings.

What you bring along

  • You have a Supply chain management qualification (e.g. CIPS or NEVI) or working towards a qualification and a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a purchaser or buyer, preferably in a multinational company;

  • You are fluent in both German and English;

  • You have some basic QHSSE, legal and compliance knowledge;

  • You have proven experience in nurturing strong, collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, at all levels.
