Job Description

For our head office in Leidschendam, the Netherlands, we are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finance Team of EUAF

In this new role in the Financial Control team, you focus on the accounting and the compliance of operating companies in EUAF. You work in close cooperation with the Shared Service Center (SSC), the Financial Controller EU/AF and the Business Controllers in the country.

Your role

  • You are a lead accountant for the region, who ensures actual reporting of the entities are correct and complete, and all financial compliance related activities are performed on time and with the required quality;

  • You lead and improve processes around statutory and tax compliance activities of the countries and in that identity support in the statutory financials and internal/external audits;

  • You lead and support the implementation of new standards in the region and in setting up new policies across EUAF in cooperation with the Global and Regional Finance team;

Your track record

  • You have a master’s degree in Finance, Accounting (e.g. RA, ACCA, RC) or similar discipline,

  • You have relevant working experience in Financial Control and/or Auditing;

  • You understand major business drivers as well as the impact that organisational structure and process has on operations;

  • You are a strong relationship builder at senior level and can function in a matrix organisation, dealing with accountability and responsibility across multiple matrix lines;

  • You take ownership and are a result-oriented person always striving for operational excellence;

  • You have excellent English language skills (both written and oral) and feel comfortable in an international & multi-stakeholder setting.
