We are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Legal team based in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate administration of contracts with key clients alongside supporting Project Managers on strategic projects. You will liaise with the Legal, Procurement and Commercial departments as well as Project Controllers and Project Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of contractual terms and conditions starting from the contract award through to contract close-out and final settlement.

  • Oversee the performance and implementation of key contract obligations, for the purposes of minimizing contractual risks.

  • Serve as point of contact with Legal in contractual matters and with all other relevant stakeholders by monitoring contract compliance with established procedures.

  • Coordinate with Project Managers and other project stakeholders internally to address any contractual issues / risks related to: cost / time variations.

  • Pursue any project-claims related matters (inclusive of any dispute resolution as required).

  • Prepare and negotiate with the client any contract variances such as variation requests, extension of time etc.

  • Maintain and track contractual records, including communications / letters between all parties.

  • Monitor the project schedule and cashflow to ensure no schedule and cost overruns.

  • Ensure timely issuance of Insurance Certificates and Bank Guarantees in compliance with the contract as well as their cancellations.

  • Monitor the preparation of progress invoices (including required supporting documents) and follow-up on timely cash collection.

  • Attend important client and subcontractor meetings and ensure proper minutes of meeting are recorded.

What Skills & Experience Will You Have?

  • Bsc Engineering / Construction Management / other construction related degree with post graduate degree on  legal/contracts & claims training.

  • 5-7 Years minimum project experience with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (“EPC”)  companies, offshore. Project experience

  • Post tender claims experience would be an advantage

  • Fluency is Arabic would be an advantage

  • Law Certification and / or Project Management certification
