The role

As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for all aspects of purchase and sales ledgers, as well as recording cashbook transactions in accordance with company procedures and quality policies.

  • Ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professionalism in line with the company financial policies and procedures.

  • Post invoices, check coding and follow up approval for invoices when appropriate.

  • Accurate and timely posting of information to the ledgers.

  • Dealing with supplier queries and statement reconciliations.

  • Raising inter-company sales invoices.

  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and nominal ledger control accounts.

  • Ad hoc analysis for Senior Financial Accountant / Financial Controller.

  • Payment runs, Bank Transfers and bank administration.

  • Involvement with month end procedures and VAT Return workings.

Who we’re looking for:

  • AAT Qualified

  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including proficient excel skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work to strict deadlines.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Good verbal and written communication.

  • Organised.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.

  • Shows initiative.

  • Results orientated
