Job Description

Fugro is seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to take on the role of Global Director of Fleet Services. This pivotal position is essential for steering our growing global fleet management towards enhanced safety, operational excellence, and sustainability, with a targeted ambition to achieve net-zero emissions by 2035. The Global Director of Fleet Services will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our fleet, ensuring it remains at the forefront of industry standards and technological advancements.

As the Global Director of Fleet Services, you will oversee all aspects of fleet management. You will develop and implement initiatives that align with Fugro's sustainability goals, ensuring that our fleet (holding 29 vessels) is not only operationally efficient but also environmentally responsible.

You will serve as a key spokesperson for Fleet Services, effectively communicating the strategic direction, performance, and values of the division to the employees, the management team, Board of Management, Executive Leadership Team, and other stakeholders.

Reporting directly to the Global Director of Operational Excellence, you will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative and productive work environment across a diverse and international team.

Key Responsibilities

• End-responsibility for the overall performance and management of our fleet management.

• Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Drive innovation and implement best practices across global vessel management.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall financial performance.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in ship management, with at least 3 years serving on a Management Team.

• A deep understanding of the maritime industry, with a proven track record of strategic leadership and decision-making in a complex and dynamic environment.

• Your experience should include managing large-scale operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety protocols.

As a visionary leader, you should have a clear strategic vision for fleet efficiency and sustainability, aligning with Fugro's corporate goals. Expertise in change management and a strong financial acumen are essential. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are critical. Your ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals across various international locations is vital.
