JOB PURPOSE :

1. performing complex geological work around the process of acquiring, analysing and interpreting of complete and high-quality geological data in order to provide accurate and customised data deliverables to clients,

2. providing geological advice in multiple specialised technical disciplines,

3. developing solutions to clients by putting acquired geological data into context, 4) proposing improvements of research methods and quality systems,

4. providing technical input for tenders,

5. assisting with the establishment and compilation of project procedures,

6. making recommendations, including any supplementary investigations,

7. contributing to acquisition activities and,

8. taking on tasks that have been escalated by more junior team members.

10)Often leads/coordinates the work of a small team and/or deputises the manager, but people management is not a focus.

11)Requires a university degree and in-depth knowledge and experience of the organisation, processes and customers.

1. Candidate should be able to take up near shore project independently.

HSE Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices Responsible for using appropriate PPE’s Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his work place. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so
