Job Description

For our Technology & Resource Services (TRS) department based in Nootdorp we are looking for a Document Controller to manage and maintain the company management system and technical documentation in a structured way.

As a Document Controller you are responsible for controlling the numbering, filing, sorting and retrieval of electronically stored documentation produced by teams, projects, or departments in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.

This role requires a proactive mentality as you interact with several stakeholders within the organisation.

Your role

  • You manage the documentation database, keep it updated ensuring compliance of the documents with the company document standard;

  • You identify the need for documentation, oversee the introduction of new documents and ensure that any duplication is identified and removed;

  • You take care of documentation distribution, manage the originals, and promote the use of standardised documentation within the company;

  • You provide training on the use of the Management System documentation and implementation of new/revised documentation;

  • You organise periodical reviews, perform internal audits on the correct use of the documentation and provide quality controls on the systems in place.

What you bring along

  • You have a BSc degree and a minimum of 3 years previous working experience as a Document Controller;

  • You have excellent knowledge of ISO standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001;

  • You are familiar with Document Management Systems and MS Office applications (Excel, SharePoint, Visio);

  • You have experience in internal auditing and preferably in the maritime industry;

  • You have a good command of both the English and Dutch language (verbal and in writing).
