Job Purpose:

Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of (parts of) the logistical activities by 1) ensuring implementation and execution of the logistics activities and action plans, 2) overseeing efficient logistical movements of materials/equipment to and from onshore and offshore projects requested by internal clients, 3) ensuring that these movements take place efficiently, on time and with the correct documentation and, 4) executing work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Logistics Manager with driving Logistics management implementation through all business and service lines in the country to ensure: Logistics management professionalism, effectiveness and efficiency by delivering bottom line cost savings and value for Fugro.

  • Actively engages with the business and develops key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to assess supply chain risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost reduction and valuable opportunities for Fugro.

  • Coordinates with all internal & external stakeholder. Actively reinforce general and legal compliance and requirements regarding quality, health, safety, sustainability, and environment (“QHSSE”).

  • Advocates for and communicates to Fugro stakeholders and colleagues the details of Logistics management processes, sourcing, QHSSE and any other relevant areas as required.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of the Logistics Management strategy and roadmap.

  • Provide cost estimation related to all logistics costing to Bidding Team at pre-bid stage

  • Verify the Logistic contractor’s invoice in line with the agreement & actual services rendered. Internal Interface: Project team, Operations, Account & Finance, Business Development & Estimation, HR, Administration, Resource Team, Legal, Taxation, Workshop and other support functions.

  • External Interface: Oil & Gas Operator, EPC Contractor, Vessel Owner, Transporter, Crane & Hydra provider & other service providers. Statutory bodies (Port, Customs, Excise, MMD, DGH & other bodies associated with various clearances.

Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices Responsible for using appropriate PPE’s Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his work place. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
