Fugro pioneers uncrewed subsea inspections in Brazil for Petrobras
Petrobras has signed a 175-day addendum to Fugro’s current inspection, repair and maintenance services contract, performed by the Fugro Aquarius, to include fully remote subsea inspection surveys of shallow-water infrastructure in Brazil. Work will begin in January, leveraging Fugro’s advanced Blue Essence® uncrewed surface vessel (USV) and Blue Volta® electric remotely operated vehicle (eROV) technology to enhance inspection safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Fugro supports development of Equinor's major European CO2 highway
Fugro is carrying out a comprehensive ground investigation for a ground-breaking new CO2 highway, off the coast of Belgium. The contract is part of a 1,000-kilometre-long planned pipeline by Equinor to transport CO2 between mainland Europe and Norway. Bringing large scale CO2 storage to European industry, this project could be a game-changer for CO2 transport and storage in northwestern Europe.

Earlier this year, Fugro Australia’s Space Automation, AI, and Robotics Control Complex (SpAARC) entered into agreement with American space exploration company Intuitive Machines to support their Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) phase 1 feasibility contract with NASA. Today, the first prototype of their LTV named Moon RACER was unveiled at Space Center Houston, NASA’s official visitor center.
