About the Role

Fugro’s purpose is to be a major global contributor in the creation of a safe and liveable world. This is a role is to develop market analysis and implementation strategies with the Service Line and Commercial / Sales & Marketing teams to project and position Fugro’s environmental science solutions in Asia Pacific.

The scope entails supporting the Metocean and Environmental Service Line Manager, APAC in reviewing and developing a strategy and implementation of that strategy to grow the environmental market covering EIA, ESIA alongside undertaking surveys and baseline studies to support our EMMP and monitoring aspirations  in this space across APAC. Reviewing the regulatory frameworks across Asia in key countries and support a strategy development to grow and support business growth in target areas.

Subsequently, the implementation of this strategy shall take place in conjunction and guidance from the Service Line Manager. The role will involve regular reviews and contribution to service line profit planning and revenue forecasting associated with developing the environmental services.

Solves complex problems where precedent may not exist by

  1. performing complex environmental work around the collection of complete and high-quality environmental data, the appropriate QC, the analysis and interpretation of data, the compilation of accurate and customised results reports and other deliverables,

  2. proposing improvements of research methods and quality systems,

  3. contributing to acquisition activities and,

  4. taking on tasks that have been escalated by more junior team members. Often leads/coordinates the work of a small project team and/or deputises the manager, but people management is not a focus. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience of the organisation, processes and customers as well as a university degree.

About you:

  • 5 years experience in the Marine Environmental industry with a BSc qualification in relevant and related industry as a minimum

  • Proficient in English language

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
