Job responsibilities:
· Hands on management of a small team participating in the repair and maintenance of specialist drilling equipment
· Much of our equipment is vessel based and, as such, vessel visits and infrequent international travel may be required.
· Ensuring operations are aligned with company and/or manufacturers standards and procedures.
· Carrying out staff development, performance appraisal and training requirement duties.
· Overall knowledge and understanding of the drilling systems and equipment operated by the Company.
· Allocation and prioritization of company resources to meet project requirements and mobilization deadlines.
· Offer technical advice to Drilling Supervisor and Rig Mechanic to facilitate performance of their duties.
· Supervision of base and offshore personnel when they are assigned to maintenance duties.
· Liaison with the Technical Manager to assist with technical planning and resourcing of projects
· Oversee spare parts and consumable levels to support operations.
You bring (qualifications & experience)
· Bachelor's degree or vocational equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
· Excellent communication skills in English
· Minimum of 5 Years supervision of equipment maintenance
· In depth knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems combined with a good working knowledge of the associated electrical and PLC control systems
· Extensive working experience in an offshore or marine Environment.
