Job Description
Do you want to join our Geo-data revolution? Fugro’s global reach and unique know-how will put the world at your fingertips. Our love of exploration and technical expertise help us to provide our clients with invaluable insights. We source and make sense of the most relevant Geo-data for their needs, so they can design, build and operate their assets more safely, sustainably and efficiently. But we’re always looking for new talent to take the next step with us. For bright minds who enjoy meaningful work and want to push our pioneering spirit further. For individuals who can take the initiative but work well within a team.
The role
As a Field Service Technician you will assist the Senior ROV Tooling Technician in all tooling operations, including servicing and maintaining all ROV tooling, preparing tooling for subsea operations, operating and maintaining tooling during offshore deployment, constructing in-house designed subsea tooling, and assisting with all subsea intervention tasks as required. You will work in close collaboration with the Senior ROV Tooling Technician, working with limited supervision, and guiding junior team members.
You will be responsible for submitting accurate reports to the Aftermarket department on a timely basis. You will liaise with and report back to the Aftermarket Manager regularly regarding operational and company issues.
You will maintain good working practices and ensure efficient, sustainable, and planned methods for all Aftermarket activities. A positive attitude is essential to ensure project deliverables are met. Excellent communication skills are required to interact with various personnel during task completion. Compliance with company and applicable codes and standards within the department is mandatory, as is adherence to all HSEQ policies, procedures, and processes.
You will coordinate with Fugro Tooling project teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. Working as part of the Fugro Tooling team, you will take direction from supervisors and/or engineers. The ability to work unsupervised and represent Fugro Tooling to clients and other associated companies is crucial.
This role requires working both onshore and offshore, domestically and internationally, as needed.
Who we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of Remote Intervention Tooling and ROV Interface methods. You will possess a thorough working knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems as applied to ROV intervention and tooling, along with basic electrical competency and troubleshooting skills.
You should be able to build, maintain, and troubleshoot tooling equipment from assembly drawings and schematics, and be capable of writing Field Service / Daily Reports and completing other necessary documentation.
If you are a proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
What we offer:
Fugro provides a positive work environment as well as projects that will satisfy the most curious minds. We also offer great opportunities to stretch and develop yourself. By giving you the freedom to grow faster, we think you’ll be able to do what you do best, better. Which should help us to find fresh ways to get to know the earth better. We encourage you to be yourself at Fugro. So bring your energy and enthusiasm, your keen eye and can-do attitude. But bring your questions and opinions too. Because to be the world’s leading Geo-data specialist, we need the strength in depth that comes from a diverse, driven team.
Extensive career & training opportunities both nationally and internationally.
Competitive salary accompanied by an attractive package including contributory pension scheme
Option to lease an electric car.
