Job Description

The Survey Analyst is responsible for integrating data from various sources including Fugro’s proprietary GIS, client documents, and public sources, preparing necessary calculations, conducting analysis of survey data, and preparing client deliverables.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.

  • Integrate client-supplied data into Fugro’s proprietary GIS.

  • Perform pre-job calculations for field data collection—review field data for accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepare post-job and final calculations for the production of reports and maps. Assists in the production of the client's final report.

  • Assist the field survey crew on field assignments for project execution when required.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties or complete special projects as assigned.

  • Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to present information and respond to questions from project managers and customers.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Job Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.

  • Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.

  • Possess an advance diploma or certificate in Surveying, Geomatic, or Civil Engineering Technology

  • Have 3 or more years in surveying, offshore positioning and construction.

  • Have 1 year or more of multibeam experience.

  • Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to use virtual conferencing, such as Microsoft Teams. Ability to use CAD software, such as AutoCAD.

  • CARIS experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Survey calculations a plus.
