Job Purpose:

We are looking for professionals who are keen to work on geotechnical assignments around the process of acquiring, analyzing, engineering and interpreting geotechnical data in order to provide accurate and customized services to clients. You will be required to work independently and provide geotechnical advice in contexts that are straightforward and work on solutions in more complex situations together with other Geotechnical Engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility that assigned projects are executed in accordance with Fugro procedures.

  • Communicates directly with Client and ensures that reporting deliverable meet Client requirements.

  • Plans and conducts engineering assignments requiring independent judgement in the selection of techniques, procedures and criteria.

  • Supervise geotechnical engineers assigned to project.

  • Is project manager on large engineering projects and guide project manager on engineering aspect of project involving field investigation operation.

  • Reviews lower level engineer’s field and lab assignments, design parameters, methods, calculations and draft reports.

  • Independently performs most assignments with only instruction regarding general expected results.

  • Consult with engineering manager for solving unusual or complex engineering problems. Elaborate way forward by identifying and implementing relevant design standard and design practices.

  • Responsible for monitoring project budget, schedule, assist with draft invoice preparation.

  • Assist with compilation of technical proposal, drafting invoice, marketing and Client maintenance.

HSE Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring safety of self and others at site. Prevent damage of equipment and assets Responsible for following all safety signs/procedures/ safe working practices Responsible for using appropriate PPE’s Responsible for participating in mock drills. Entitled to refuse any to undertake any activity considered unsafe. Responsible for filling up of hazard observation card, wherever hazard has been noticed at site. Responsible for safe housekeeping of his work place. To stop any operation that is deemed unsafe To be able to operate fire extinguisher in case of fire To report an incident as soon as possible to immediate supervisor and HSE manager To complete HSE trainings as instructed to do so.
