Fugro in Belgium offer specialized consultancy and engineering services in both land and marine environments. For our Laboratory, we are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Data Processing and QAQC Engineer. The successful candidate will join our Geotechnical Laboratory in Louvain-La-Neuve to process raw data recorded from the laboratory and to prepare draft reports for checking.

To maintain the administration duties for the data processing group including project files and laboratory photographs and to assist other team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Process test results for all standard testing including effective stress tested to BS1377 and BS EN ISO 17892 standards;

  • Assist with QA checking of other staffs work;

  • Produce AGS data;

  • Ensure the record keeping and data processing are performed to the highest standard and quality

  • Help in maintaining accreditation and promote good QA/QC practices for all staff.

  • Adhere to all Fugro QHSSE Management systems, policies and standards at all times

Key Skills

  • You are fluent in French in English;

  • Good standard of general education, including 5+GCSEs (including English, Maths and Science) and 2+ A-levels (including at least one science subject) or similar qualifications or bachelor’s degree in science or geology;

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience is preferred. No experience? With the right commitment and mentality, you can also be the right person;

  • Good numeracy and literacy;

  • An eye for detail and an ability to follow procedures are vital;

  • Good IT skills, particularly the use of MS Excel;

  • Proactive, accurate, and well developed communication skills;
