The role

As a Remote Operations Centre (ROC) Engineer at Fugro, you’ll be at the forefront of technical innovation, ensuring operational readiness and project continuity. This role is perfect for graduates eager to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting, monitoring and integrating cutting-edge systems to execute work scopes from the ROC. You’ll actively support the continuous improvement of remote operations by identifying opportunities, implementing new technologies, testing, and creating valuable documentation.

Graduate Remote Operations Centre Engineer, you’ll support the setup, configuration, interfacing, and testing of the full suite of ROC technologies. Ensuring equipment is always operationally ready, you’ll carry out and record maintenance, report defects, and monitor technical performance. You’ll also maintain accurate stock levels and ensure effective communication with client representatives, Project Managers, and various onshore and offshore departments. Clear and concise documentation will be a cornerstone of your responsibilities.

Who we’re looking for:.

You will hold a degree in a relevant subject such as survey, electrical, computer science, or IT and networking-related discipline.

We seek a proactive problem-solver who thrives on tackling technical challenges in remote operations. With a can-do attitude and a team player spirit, you’ll be based in Aberdeen or willing to relocate and work rotational 12-hour shifts

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels. You’ll need to prioritise workloads to meet project deadlines, pay meticulous attention to detail, quality, and safety, and be a disciplined, self-motivated, and flexible team player.
