Solution Architect

Job Description

For our Leidschendam office we are looking for a solution architect. As Solution architect you are responsible for evaluating and evolving IT solutions within the remit of Global Application Services, on both functional and technical level. With your knowledge, you provide guidance and governance for the development of new functionality to ensure security, performance, maintainability and scalability of our solution. If you want to work on complex business challenges with your high technical expertise, this role might be something for you.

Your role

• You have high level technical expertise in the areas of IT landscape, integration concepts, financial management, supply chain management, project accounting, equipment management and project management;

• You assist staff at various hierarchical levels in making the right choices by maintaining the as-is and to-be architecture, designing new architectural patterns and making optimal use of our contractual agreements with our suppliers. In addition to this, you mentor and coach other solution specialists;

• You ensure that solution architecture related deliverables are socialized, published and understood by key stakeholders and you ensure the successful delivery of demonstrations, proof of values or PoC, tied to our business initiatives;

• You maintain a high degree of knowledge of all products and services including roadmaps and regular liaison with various stakeholders;

• You assist by reviewing and evaluating change requests and designs;

• You use your knowledge and/or understanding of the user’s requirements to provide and/or propose viable product/solution improvement feedback;

• You translate technical and business requirements into a customer focused value-centric solution;

Your track record

• You at least have a BSc degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or a related field. You also bring 8+ years of relevant experience within international companies that operate heavy assets or related industries, or you’ve worked at top-tier IT consultancy companies;

• You have experience with architecture frameworks, including the relationships between business, data, application & technology architectures;

• You have solid experience in Azure and AWS;

• You have a comprehensive understanding of Archimate and TOGAF;

• You are able to communicate at all management levels and are committed to self-learning and regular training;

• You have excellent English language skills, both written and oral.
