As the global leader in Geo-data and technology, Fugro is poised for even greater growth. From Energy to Infrastructure and Coastal Resiliency, sustainability is at the core of what we do, and our purpose together in creating a safe and liveable world translates into every action we take. If you are passionate about the role that HR plays in enabling the business, and our purpose speaks to you, we invite you to apply.

We are looking for a hands-on, strategic, and driven Senior HR Business Partner to work alongside a talented local and regional HR team and support our business in North America in achieving our ambitious growth plans by focusing on our most important asset: our people.

The Senior HR Business Partner is responsible for partnering with key, growing business units and leaders to deliver strong strategic support to identify and meet objectives. With support and collaboration from regional centers of excellence, this role will identify and drive key priorities to engaging and developing our employees and position Fugro as an employer of choice.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both in business and HR, maintaining a focus on strategic guidance, process improvement, and maintaining the highest degree of integrity.

  • Directly support dedicated stakeholders within the assigned business and/or functions, in strategic people matters, change management, and organizational effectiveness needs.

  • Provides consultative guidance and coaching to managers and employees on human resources-related matters, ensuring alignment with Fugro policies, goals, and objectives.

  • Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the supported organization, including their culture, needs, strengths, and development opportunities, keeping employee experience top of mind.

  • Conduct evaluation on the state of people in key business lines, identifying strengths and improvement opportunities that enhance HR offerings and processes, as well as the candidate and employee experience.

  • Works alongside management and business leaders to ensure efficiency in organizational design, and supports the talent planning process, succession planning, coaching, talent strategy, and talent development.

  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of best practices and legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the Legal department as needed.

  • Leads design, implementation, communication, and delivery of the company's HR initiatives across select internal business and functional group(s).

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and internal organization stakeholders to proactively identify workforce needs and talent strategy, and ensure Fugro’s “right people, right role, right time” philosophy is observed.

  • Drive the acceleration of business growth and amplification of Fugro culture through organization and talent strategies that ensure we have the right skill sets, organizational structure, and environment to foster a high-performing team.

  • Drive improvement efforts in key metrics such as engagement, inclusion, manager scores, mobility, retention, and leadership capability. Track key metrics over time to identify needs and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and actions implemented.

  • Operate seamlessly with key partners across Human Resources including HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Talent and Leadership Development.

  • Partner with the Sr. North America HR Manager, COE Leaders, and colleagues on key projects and initiatives.

  • North American travel up to 15%.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Human Resources, or a related field

  • 7 + years of work experience in roles of increased complexity

  • Master's degree in HR, OD, and/or business-related discipline preferred
