Job Description

For our Oslo office we are looking for an Operational Purchaser. With a new Supply Chain Management (SCM) organisation in place, Fugro is on an exciting journey to accelerate growth and value creation. You have a key role to play in this context by delivering the most competitive cost base by building a strong Purchasing organisation. You will support the Purchasing Supervisor.

Your Role:

  • Purchasing Goods and Services: Responsible for purchasing goods and services for Fugro Norway, ensuring the best value in terms of cost, delivery, sustainability, and quality.

  • Obtaining Quotes and Negotiating: Obtain quotes for each purchase and negotiate the best terms with suppliers.

  • Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships, send purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Performance Metrics: Contribute to departmental and global KPIs, including spend control, delivery performance, and savings.

  • Administrative Duties: Handle day-to-day administration, vendor management activities, compliance due diligence, and maintain purchasing master data in the ERP system.

  • Coordination Across Locations: Engage with Procurement Manager and Purchasers in all three Fugro Norway locations to ensure comprehensive coverage of Purchase to Pay (P2P) needs.

  • ERP System Transition: Prepare for and assist in the transition to a new ERP system scheduled for 2026.

What You Bring:

  • Educational Background: Supply chain management qualification or equivalent, or currently working towards a qualification.

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a purchaser or buyer, preferably in a multinational company.

  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and competent in Norwegian (level B2 or better).

  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of QHSSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment), legal, and compliance requirements.

  • Relationship Building: Proven experience in nurturing strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and proactively, demonstrating ownership and responsibility.

  • Operational Skills: Fast and accurate operational skills, with a convincing, adaptable, and persistent approach.

  • Service Orientation: Highly service-minded towards both internal and external customers.
