OARS®

Fugro OARS.jpg

OARS® provides centralised command centres throughout the world with direct access to offshore survey projects.

The system allows for optimisation of survey crew size, client engagement and access to Fugro’s subject matter experts around the world.

OARS® rig

OARS® rig service allows for the monitoring of a rig’s position in relation to the assets on the seafloor, utilising either a Fugro in-house or client provided database. Options include vessel proximity alerts via an Automated Identification Systems (AIS) and/or dynamic mooring line proximity alerts using OARS®.

This can also include dynamic installations such as FPSOs. Remote equipment installed on support vessels can also interface with the OARS® system, allowing for area wide monitoring. Other client provided data such as bathymetry and run off/safe zones can be added to the system upon request.

OARS® vessel

OARS® vessel service provides real-time monitoring of a vessel’s position and all anchor handling vessels involved in the operation. OARS® allows for remote operation of the offshore survey suite installed on all vessels involved in the project, direct from the OARS® Command Centre when required. Typical applications include dive vessel operations, well intervention vessel and geotechnical vessels. Sonar and gradiometer services are available upon request.

OARS® barge

OARS® barge service provides real-time monitoring of the barge position and all associated anchor handling vessels. OARS® allows for remote operation of the offshore survey suite on all vessels involved in the project direct from the OARS® command centre when required.

Where manned survey services are required, personnel can easily be mobilised to the vessel with any additional equipment that may be required to fulfil current survey requirements. Typical applications include decommissioning, reefing and extended tow operations.

OARS® subsea

OARS® subsea complements equipment already installed on the client vessel, and utilises an output data string from the Ultra Short Base Line (USBL) subsea positioning system on projects where calibration of the system is not required. Typical applications include ROV and diver positioning.

OARS® quality control assurance

OARS® quality control assurance provides clients with a virtual presence on conventional Fugro projects. With remote monitoring of the positioning and geodetic project information, clients can QC the survey operations and view the status of the project from the comfort of their office, while utilising advanced communication options with Fugro personnel onboard the vessel.
