Saving Oceans with Science
Published

Plastic pollution, rising sea levels, warmer waters and chemical changes have plunged the world’s oceans into crisis. Our oceans are so degraded that the United Nations has made 2021 the start of a new decade for ocean science for sustainable development. In this podcast, we talk to Engineering Matters about how data acquisition and new technology can turn the tide in ocean decline and bring huge gains in activities such as mapping the seabed, understanding ecosystems and locating missing aircraft.
