Performance assessment and monitoring

Performance assessment is a key step in our HSSE management process. It's also the basis of our continuous efforts to improve.

Meeting the requirements

We're committed to delivering standards, practices, and services which meet the following or similar requirements to:

  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management)

  • ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety)

  • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)

  • ISM codes (International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships)

Active and reactive monitoring

Both types of monitoring play a crucial and essential role in the HSSE management control loop, ensuring continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Active monitoring entails audits, inspections, reviews, safety observations, and performance targets. This proactive approach allows us to identify gaps, detect systemic issues, and assess overall compliance. It also ensures adherence to Fugro’s standards, business unit procedures, and operational requirements, fostering a strong safety culture.

Reactive monitoring provides valuable insights by analyzing incidents, including near-misses, non-conformances, and hazard reports. We systematically review this information, identify root causes, and integrate lessons learned into our evolving standards, policies, and procedures to enhance future safety performance.
