Job Description

As a Project Manager you are responsible and accountable for the delivery of projects. You ensure efficient and effective execution of the agreed work in the field of Asset Integrity projects, within the Marine Positioning & Construction Support Service line, across Europe and Africa. You manage offshore projects by utilising survey personnel and specialist equipment in a global market.

Your role

  • You ensure assigned projects are executed in accordance with Fugro standards and client specifications;

  • You plan, organise and coordinate to achieve optimal balance between cost, time, safety, quality, benefit and risk in projects;

  • You monitor project budgets, forecasting, schedules and performance against KPI’s and develop project documentation including project execution plans;

  • You supervise and guide project teams and coordinate project activities with the different departments e.g. workshop, logistics, planning etc.;

  • You support the Account Managers during the tendering process in preparing the technical sections of commercial proposals;

  • You are fully aware of the contractual and commercial conditions of the project and provide amendments where needed and together with the Account Manager prepare invoices to the clients and chase if payments are delayed;

  • You undertake any other duties as appropriate within your competence when required.

What you bring along

  • You have a BSc. degree in an industry associated discipline and significant experience in project management;

  • You are familiar with Marine Construction and Positioning related activities;

  • You have the ability to clearly define roles, responsibilities & accountabilities for decision making hierarchies and to establish controls, approvals and monitoring for compliance;

  • You have a sound understanding of the fundamental components of a project in terms of its’ scope, deliverables, schedule, milestones and resource requirements;

  • You have good communication and language skills in English (written and spoken);

  • You are reliable, efficient, you have a systematic approach with a competitive attitude and you have the availability to travel for business if needed.
