Job Description

For our innovation team we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer .NET and C#. As the world's leading Geo-data company, Fugro depends on viable software products to collect, process, and deliver the data to our clients.

As our senior software engineer, you are part of the team that develops an internal platform that serves as a database for all our offshore projects worldwide. This will make it possible to connect colleagues and improve efficiency on a global scale.

You are the ideal candidate if you share enthusiasm for setting new boundaries while you can take others with you in this process. You find yourself in a team consisting of multiple nationalities where creative ideas and initiatives are encouraged.

Your role

  • You contribute to all development phases of the product, from design and implementation to maintenance and support of the software;

  • You attend the daily stand-up meetings and attend retrospectives and sprint planning meetings;

  • You participate in code reviews;

  • You keep up to date with all relevant software development technologies;

  • You take on the role of architect and technical lead of the team.

Your track record

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering;

  • You have at least 8 years of experience working with .NET and C#;

  • You have experience working with ASP .NET Core, YAML, GitHub Actions and Git;

  • You have proficiency in AWS, CDK, VS Studio, VS Code, Containers and Jira;

  • You have experience in Messaging and Queuing systems, such as AWS (SNS, SQS) and Apache Kafka;

  • You are used to work in an Agile/Scrum environment;

  • You are a strong communicator and able to help with the development of your team members.
