HSSE Engagement Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced HSSE Engagement Designer to join our global HSSE team. This pivotal role involves creating high-impact content to drive leadership, behavior, and cultural transformations that support our HSSE initiatives. Reporting directly to the Global HSSE Human Factors and Behavioural Design Manager, you will develop and oversee content strategies for all organizational levels, including sophisticated videos, animations, comprehensive campaigns, and diverse digital and print media. You will ensure consistent, compelling, and simplified HSSE messaging, collaborating closely with global and regional senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the content conceptualization and implementation of innovative HSSE engagement strategies.

• Manage the creation and testing of high-quality prototypes.

• Develop and manage interactive experiences, tools, and initiatives that influence all levels of the organization.

• Spearhead the development and execution of engaging HSSE campaigns and high-profile events.

• Analyze and optimize the effectiveness of HSSE initiatives and campaigns to ensure continuous improvement.

• Produce and direct the creation of sophisticated visual elements such as videos and animations for impactful HSSE storytelling and training.

• Craft compelling storylines, storyboards, and scripts.

• Design and create engaging and simplified HSSE content for various media platforms.

• Ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines, maintaining visual consistency and a strong brand identity.

• Manage and prioritize multiple high-stakes HSSE engagement projects simultaneously.

• Stay abreast of and implement the latest trends in visual storytelling and engagement design.

• Provide HSSE design support and expert guidance to the HSSE team and stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with the Communication and Branding department to ensure alignment and consistency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engagement Design, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

• Several years of experience and a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills and creative thinking within HSSE.

• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD).

• Exceptional drawing, visualization, and storytelling techniques.

• Advanced project management capabilities.

• Superior communication and presentation skills.

• Fluent in English (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and lead teams in a global context.
