Job Description

As an Assistant Project Manager you assist one of the Project Managers with the delivery of projects. You ensure efficient and effective execution of the agreed work in the field of offshore geophysical and geotechnical projects, within the Marine Site Characterisation business line, across Europe and Africa. You manage offshore projects by utilising specialist survey vessels and equipment in a global market.

Your role

  • You manage internal projects and assist with the monitoring of project budgets, schedules and performance against KPI’s;

  • You plan, organise and coordinate to achieve optimal balance between cost, time, quality, benefit and risk in marine geotechnical and geophysical projects;

  • You supervise/guide project teams, promote a Team Fugro culture and you support the development of a positive safety culture.

  • You develop project documentation including project execution plans and setup project management controls;

  • You communicate with clients, internal partners, sub-contractors and support the tendering process;

  • You get the possibility to follow external and internal courses to develop specialist and project management skills to grow further in your specialism.

What you bring along

  • You have a Master or Bachelor degree in an industry associated discipline and experience in project management, preferably in marine Geotechnical or Geophysical related projects;

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of previous working experience;

  • You have excellent planning skills and enjoy working in a high-pressure environment.

  • You are proactive and determined to efficiently deliver results on our projects;

  • You enjoy working together with a diverse team and are open and transparent in your communication;

  • You have a good knowledge of the English language (verbal and written).
