Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Assistant – German Speaking you are responsible for accounts processes related to invoice posting, AP queries, employee expense claims and vendor master data maintenance for multiple Fugro entities. In this varied role you collaborate closely with AP and GL Accountants in relation to their allocated entities and you report directly to the AP Lead of the Fugro Finance Shared Services Center (FSSC) in Leidschendam. In this role you continuously look for improvements in the AP process.

Your role

  • You are responsible for all Accounts Payable (AP) related queries from external suppliers and Fugro entities;

  • You assist with month-end close duties and with reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances;

  • You take care of coding, entering, batching and posting of supplier invoices and obtaining manager approval for payment of invoices;

  • You verify and process employee expense claims;

  • You process changes to supplier master data and check supporting documentation;

  • You ensure tracking of supplier payments, purchase orders, invoices and statements.

Your track record

  • You have a College Diploma or Certificate in Accounting and a minimum of 2 years relevant working experience;

  • You have a solid understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable principles;

  • You have proven ability to calculate, post and manage financial records;

  • You are Computer literate: Good Excel skills; Knowledge of ERP software (MS Business Central / CRM / IFS is an advantage);

  • You have excellent communication and language skills in English and German (written and spoken);

  • You have excellent organization skills, the ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines, you are pro-active, service minded, accurate and you easily interact with other people internally and externally.
