Job Description
Do you want to join our Geo-data revolution? Fugro’s global reach and unique know-how will put the world at your fingertips. Our love of exploration and technical expertise help us to provide our clients with invaluable insights. We source and make sense of the most relevant Geo-data for their needs, so they can design, build and operate their assets more safely, sustainably and efficiently. But we’re always looking for new talent to take the next step with us. For bright minds who enjoy meaningful work and want to push our pioneering spirit further. For individuals who can take the initiative but work well within a team.
The role
As an Operations Manager at Fugro, you will play a pivotal role in driving our operational success of the Positioning and Construction Support Team and Marine Asset Integrity Operations. You will lead a team of supervisors and complex operations teams, ensuring we meet our goals for quality, productivity, and employee satisfaction. Your responsibilities will encompass managing field staff throughout their employment life cycle, from setting objectives and performance management to driving engagement and addressing employee relations.
You will be responsible for operational resourcing and forecasting, ensuring we have the right number of skilled staff for our planned activities and collaborating in the selection of third-party personnel. Additionally, you will focus on the development and growth of your team, working with the learning and development team to identify training plans and career progression opportunities.
Ensuring operational excellence will be a key part of your role, as you work closely with offshore management to maintain the highest standards. You will also lead QHSE initiatives, driving continuous improvement and safety awareness across all offshore operations, implementing group initiatives, and leading incident investigations.
Who we’re looking for:
We are on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced leader who is passionate about operational excellence and ready to make a significant impact. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Management, and possess advanced experience in a technical discipline, preferably within the Marine Environment. You should have a proven track record in personnel management within an operational setting, demonstrating your ability to lead and inspire teams.
Proficiency in English is essential, as clear and effective communication is a key part of this role. We value strong competencies in accountability, influencing, and delivering results. You should be someone who takes ownership and initiative, acts with confidence, and works well independently. Your ability to work collaboratively with peers, colleagues, and partners to positively impact business performance is crucial, as is your skill in persuasion and negotiation.
We are looking for someone who is not only technically proficient but also has the interpersonal skills to foster a positive and productive work environment. If you are a proactive leader with a commitment to excellence and a drive to achieve outstanding results, we want to hear from you.
What we offer:
Fugro provides a positive work environment as well as projects that will satisfy the most curious minds. We also offer great opportunities to stretch and develop yourself. By giving you the freedom to grow faster, we think you’ll be able to do what you do best, better. Which should help us to find fresh ways to get to know the earth better. We encourage you to be yourself at Fugro. So bring your energy and enthusiasm, your keen eye and can-do attitude. But bring your questions and opinions too. Because to be the world’s leading Geo-data specialist, we need the strength in depth that comes from a diverse, driven team.
Extensive career & training opportunities both nationally and internationally.
Competitive salary accompanied by an attractive package including contributory pension scheme
Flexible working hours and the potential to work 2 days a week from home in accordance with your manager and corporate policies.
Option to lease an electric car.
30 days annual leave and 4 days bank holiday.
Private Medical Insurance and a robust healthcare cashplan.
