The Positioning and Messaging Specialist will develop strategic positioning documents and compelling messaging documents to communicate the company's unique value propositions. The role will incorporate market, client, and competitive intelligence to inform strategies. The specialist will craft positioning and messaging for sales and marketing collateral, marketing campaigns, and go-to-market plans. The opportunity will collaborate with marketing, technical, and commercial teams to safeguard positioning and messaging consistency across communication channels.
Job Responsibilities:
Create strategic positioning documents by defining market segments, target audiences, ideal client organizations, and buyer personas.
Compile compelling messaging documents by determining pain points, distinctive value chains, differentiation, quantified financial values, and repercussions of inaction.
Collaborate with design and content teams to assure sales and marketing materials display relevant positioning and messaging.
Work in partnership with the demand generation team to support marketing campaigns with effective positioning and messaging.
Provide go-to-market teams with positioning and messaging, as well as contribute to brainstorming sessions and give guidance on go-to-market concepts.
Play a decisive role in shaping the company's brand identity to build trust, drive engagement, and facilitate business growth.
Evaluate the effectiveness of positioning and messaging in achieving commercial objectives, adjusting strategies as needed.
Job Requirements:
Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
Bachelor's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 3 years of related experience in business-to-business (B2B) product marketing, go-to-market planning, sales enablement, or a related field is required.
Proven experience crafting positioning and messaging documents for technical services and/or products, ideally within the geosciences field.
Possess a strong understanding of market, client, and competitive analyses.
Collaborate exceptionally well with cross-functional teams, including commercial, technical, and marketing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content with a keen eye for detail and consistency.
Possess strong organizational skills and can manage multiple projects at the same time.
A visionary thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Needs to be receptive to feedback and eager to collaborate and share ideas.
