The role:
The Remote Operations Centre Supervisor will be responsible for the functionality of facilities, technologies and systems in the Remote Operations Centre (ROC), ensuring availability and support for project operations within the region, testing, implementing and utilising innovative and industry leading technology and protocols. Located in Aberdeen, Fugro's Remote Operations Centre provides a centralised resilient location with direct access to offshore projects 24/7. The role operates on a 12-hour shift on a 3 week rotational basis.
Who we’re looking for:
Reporting directly to the Remote Operations Centre Superintendent the ROC Supervisor will liaise with the ROC Superintendent and work with ROC Engineers, staff, Offshore staff, Project Managers, Clients, Project Teams and third-party suppliers to oversee effective and efficient completion of work scopes. Additionally, they will be expected to collaborate with other Remote Operations Centres, Innovation teams and key suppliers globally.
The ROC Supervisors will actively support the continuous improvement of remote operations, identifying opportunities, developing business justifications, testing, and creating documentation to be incorporated into the body of knowledge.
Supports and communicates company and regional strategy and objectives.
Contributes to and ensures compliance with legislation, industry best practice and company procedures.
Ensures preventative maintenance, business continuity, emergency response and QHSSE systems and processes are known and adhered to.
Takes appropriate steps to ensure operational efficiency through the management of resources, monitoring of facility and system performance.
Provides relevant communications at all levels of the business.
Implements and integrates technology developments, carries out fault trend analysis and develops supporting documentation.
Ensures system preparation and configuration for project operations and provides technical support.
Contributes to the development of a positive working environment.
