Job Description
As an Electrical Technician you are part of our geotechnical survey team and you will be working in a team of specialists for about 4 weeks at a time on board of our vessels abroad (an average of 150/195 days a year). A varied role in which no day will be the same.
Your role
You make sure the specialized equipment is working perfectly;
You take care of the necessary maintenance activities;
You work on projects for site investigations for clients in the oil and gas industry and renewable energy e.g. the development of offshore wind-farms;
You follow training at our warehouse in the Netherlands to make sure that you get familiar with our specific geotechnical equipment and that your knowledge is always up-to-date (initial training will be a period between 1 – 2 months);
You assist with maintenance activities at our warehouse;
You continuously learn, improve and develop new skills to grow further in your specialism.
Your track record
You have a vocational education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and preferably previous offshore experience;
You have the availability to work 180/195 days offshore per annum;
You have good communication and language skills in English (written and spoken);
You have an adventurous attitude and positive approach to problems, you are optimistic and cooperation-oriented;
A medical exam is part of the selection procedure.

Fugro Netherlands Marine is a worldwide leading geotechnical service company which provides technical advice for marine project development. The offshore surveys are done from specialized vessels that are fitted with specific geotechnical research equipment that is developed in house. In your role you work together with other Fugro companies in multidisciplinary international projects.
